We want to thank Worm Man for allowing us to take some pictures and for sharing as much information as they did.

There are four steps to breeding your own superworms.  The entire process can take a few months depending upon the temperature, how well the worms, beetles and eggs are taken care of and control of the pest population in your rearing facility.  Things like mites, mealmoths and vermin can destroy a superworm breeding operation so care must be taken to ensure cleanliness between cycles.

  • Step 1

    Get yourself some Superworms

You can buy them at http://www.wormman.com (free plug for the pics and info.), or you can do a search online and order them from many retailers. You can also try ebay and Amazon. See some links to items for sale below this article. Keep the worms at 75 degrees for best results. They can tolerate temps from 65 degrees to 90 degrees. They will die if they get cold.

  • Step 2

    Buy Bedding/Food

You will need food to feed your newly bought superworms until you are ready to begin the breeding process. It is best to feed them for a week or two to ensure that they are well hydrated and growing after their trip to you. You will need some wheat bran, or non-medicated chicken food. You will also need slices of potato or cucumber for the worms to drink from.

  • Step 3

You will need worm seperators. You can buy those online or buy a kit on ebay like the ones listed below.

You can buy those online or buy a kit on ebay like the ones listed below. The worms will not become beetles if they are not separated from the other superworms.

  • Step 4

    Beetle Breeding Box

Placed newly hatched beetles in a box with bran covering the floor by about an inch. Give them slices of potato or cucumber to drink from and keep them at about 75 Degrees.
